Magazine comparison

These screen shots show two different versions of the same magazine expect they have a different image. Both of the magazines are yet to be completed. Out of the two I prefer the first one as I think the colour scheme is better, however the second one provides a clearer image.

Magazine Cover Pinterest Drafting

For my magazine cover I have used Pinterest to collect images to help me draft for the cover. This will allow me to relate to these images when drafting for the magazine cover.

Mumford and Sons

This parody shows that I have cut out Mumford and Sons from the image and used Photoshop to insert them in Vincent van Gogh's autumn landscape painting.

Alfonso d’Avalos - Titian 

Parody version

The parody version of the original painting shows that I have replaced Alfonso d’Avalos with Austin Carlile and I have also changed the image to black and white. The parody version contrasts the original version due to the appearance of the two different characters, e.g. Austin Carlile's tattoos.

Magazine Primary Research

As well as collecting secondary research I have also done primary research by looking at different magazines in stores. Even though I can see the different styles used from my secondary research this has allowed me to look at the magazine in more detail.

I used Pinterest to collect a variety of different magazine (mainly music magazine) so that I could analyse the use of different styles used. Some of the magazine covers I have collected contain hand written text which I want to include when making my own magazine. Therefore I will use this to help support me when producing my own magazine.
