Business cards back and front

This is a screenshot of the front of my first business card design. I decided to not have any writing on the front of the card because this will attract people to pick it up as they don't know what business is being advertised.

This is the of back my business card which follows the checked pattern. To begin with I only had the text on a white background without the pattern. However I wanted to keep the patterned theme.

This the my second business card design. When creating this design I was unsure about because it's plain and simple and I didn't think it would attract people. However I decided to go with this design because it is completely different to my first design.

This is screenshot shows the back of my second business card design. I continued the line paper theme as I though it was appropriate for this design.

New Business Card Design Process

This screenshot shows that I have created squares and duplicated the layer so that I don't have to continue making them individually. After duplicating the layers I was then able to pick the colours for each square.

After I had chosen the colours I was going to use I then duplicated the layer again and placed it on the other side so that it would match. I was then able to duplicate the whole layers and place them at the bottom without moving them individually.

This screenshot shows that I have repeated the previous steps to make a different lot of square but this time in different colours. However this row isn't aligned with the top row as I previously said in a post that I didn't want it to be precise. This also helps to make the row stand out from the top one.

This shows that I have continued to duplicated the layers in order to complete the front of my business card. I think that due to using only several colours it helps to make it stand out but not be too busy.

Business Card Design Change

When I started to create my first business card I started to look at in detail properly and decided to change my initial design to something more eye catching.

When I did secondary research I came across this design which I thought was different and eye catching. Therefore I decided to use this business card to relate to when creating a new one. I didn't want to use as many colours as the one shown above so I decided to limit the amount of colours I used for the design. I also decided that the squares wouldn't be aligned like the one shown above because I didn't want to be too precise. This would also allow me to have a similar but different version to this business card.

Business Card Research

This screenshot shows that I have done secondary research before creating business cards. This allows me to get a better understanding when creating business cards as I can relate to these business cards to help me with the layout.

Initial Business Card Designs

From these two business card designs I will use the first one as I think it has a more professional appearance. I haven't chosen the second design as I think it is too much alike the third design which I have chosen to recreate and I also think it wouldn't attract the target audience.

From these two designs I will also use the first design to produce a business card as it is a totally different design from the one I have already chosen. I think the design I have chosen also links with the topic, graphic design.
